Yoga for Full Figures (YFF) - Class length: 1 hour
Each YFF class is an opportunity to experience the stress relief and healing power of yoga: move your body, still your mind and connect with your breath. Practice yoga in exactly the body you have today, regardless of your age, shape, size, race, or ability. We offer an unpretentious, non-competitive, supportive environment – we don’t do judgement or intimidation here. You will be guided through modifications and transitions that will help you feel more comfortable and succeed in your yoga practice.
Each class will include reclining, kneeling, seated and standing poses appropriate for full figured bodies. Because everyone has their own unique body and capabilities, pose modifications will be offered to address different bodies types and shapes - No 'one-size-fits-all' yoga here! We focus on safely moving our bodies, tapping into our strengths, exploring what IS possible and finding our bliss. Please note: the minimum requirement for class is the ability to get up and down from the floor, additional props will be available (blocks and chair) if required.
